ARTIST BIO

VFX ART DIRECTOR | LAIKA

COLUMBUS COLLEGE OF ART & DESIGN
BFA | ANIMATION

I’m an artist and visual storyteller with more than 20 years of experience spanning design, illustration, animation, visual development, and feature film production. My work has ranged from children’s illustration and graphic design to large-scale cinematic environments and visual effects for animated feature films.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked across a wide range of disciplines, combining strong design fundamentals with technical experience and a deep appreciation for craft. I’m especially drawn to world building, visual storytelling, and the process of developing an idea from its earliest concept through to a finished image on screen.

I studied Animation at the Columbus College of Art & Design, where my education was grounded in traditional disciplines including drawing, painting, sculpture, and technical illustration. Alongside training in both 2D and 3D animation, the program placed a strong emphasis on narrative, storytelling, craftsmanship, and technique—principles that continue to shape the way I approach my work today.
